Out-of-pocket costs vary. Call for rates. There are low income base rates and financial hardship rates through the nonprofit. (See list of insurance companies accepted below.) We accept cash, check, debit or credit cards. We also take PayPal by request. (A $3.00 processing fee is added to all debit and credit card transactions.)

Life is full of unexpected happenings and events: Deadlines, illness, children, weather, car troubles, flights etc. are just a few common reasons people use to cancel appointments last minute or not show up at all. However, missed appointments affect everyone and prevent us from providing services to someone else who maybe waiting. Also, it is not considerate of the time of others nor the time made available to you.

Cancellations

Please allow at least 24-hour notice to avoid a cancellation fee of the full amount of a typical session. This is an out-of-pocket expense and will not be billed to your insurance. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment. Exceptions will only be made for extreme weather and serious or contagious illness or emergency.

No-shows

Anyone who either forgets or chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show”. They will unfortunately be charged the full fee for their “missed” appointment.

Arriving late

Appointment times have been arranged specifically for your benefit. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow your own. Depending upon how late you arrive, we will then determine together if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible to pay for the “full” session.

We are here to help, not to judge. Everyone is welcome at Moore Counseling Services–regardless of beliefs, religion or choices. We accept people as they are, where they are at in life and do not bring up discussions about spirituality unless it is initiated by the client.

At Moore Counseling Services, we believe that shared faith and beliefs can provide a foundation for the connection and rapport that can make all the difference in managing mental health for those who desire it. Your faith tradition will only be discussed as much as you desire.

The 30-minute consultation gives the person looking into counseling a free visit to assess if what I offer is a good fit for them. It also helps me refer them to an appropriate resource if their particular issue would be better treated by a different specialist.

My office is taking the following precautions to protect our patients and help slow the spread of the coronavirus. 

*Office seating in the waiting room and in office is appropriate for social distancing. 

*My staff and I wear masks. 

* Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands. 

*Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in my office.

*We ask patients to wait in their cars until 5 minutes before scheduled appointment. 

*Common areas are disinfected at the end of each day.
